'Amocan' Salted Soya Bean in Sauce

How to prepare 'Ayam Pongteh' (Braised Chicken with Salted Soya Bean in Sauce)

Firstly, blend the onions and garlic coarsely.
1. In a wok or pot, heat the oil on medium till hot.
2. Toss in the blended onions and garlic and stir fry till fragrant, about 2 minutes.
2.  3.  Add the ‘AMOCAN Salted Soya Bean in Sauce’, stir fry for another minute.
4. Toss in the chicken, mushrooms, potato and palm sugar.
5. Stir fry till the chicken is cooked on the outside.
6. Add a cup of water, or enough to cover the chicken.
7. Add the dark soy sauce.
8. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium low and simmer for about 45 minutes.
Remark: Check the taste, add more sugar if required
Lastly, place ‘Ayam Pongteh’ onto serving plate and ready to serve with rice.
